What could more classic than an English campaign chest made for British officers and their long deployments overseas.  Portable and modular for easier transportation - this example made of durable solid teakwood and original brass recessed handles.   Five drawers are supplemented with a top/central secretary drawer enclosing a burr oak veneered interior with leather inset writing surface, three small drawers fitted with ink well and bakelite blotter.  Later feet.  England 19th century.
